Thursday May 14,2026, Students of S5 & S6MPG along with the matron Mrs. Hamissa MUKANDAYISENGA with their teacher of Physics Mr. Epimaque MUSABIREMA visited the Mukungwa hydropower plant (often referred to as Mukungwa I) which is a critical 12 MW hydroelectric facility located in the Musanze District, Northern Province of Rwanda. Commissioned in 1982, it has undergone several rehabilitations to maintain its role as a key source of renewable electricity in Rwanda's national grid, serving regions including Musanze, Nyabihu, and Rubavu. Students benefited a lot in this field tour on how to generate electricity.
