On the twenty-five day of the holy month of Ramadan, corresponding to March 14, 2026, the Mohammed Bashir Al-Maghribi Hall at the Center hosted the closing ceremony of the annual Quran memorization competition organized by the Islamic Cultural Center during this holy month, in cooperation with Rwanda Muslim Community (RMC), (148) male and female contestants from various regions of Rwanda participated in this competition, divided into nine categories, the lowest of which was memorizing two parts (juzu) of the Holy Quran, and the highest of which was memorizing the entire Quran.
At the aforementioned ceremony, certificates of participation and prizes were distributed to the top-ranked winners. The ceremony was attended by the Center's Director General, the Financial Officer, the Deputy of Mufti of the Republic of Rwanda, representatives of several embassies (Libya, Morocco, Senegal, Sudan), responsible of INGO and NGO, a number of Imams, preachers, and guests, in addition to the participants in the competition.
The participants expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Center and the Joint Organization for organizing this Quranic activity every year, demonstrating the Center interest in Quran memorization and honoring its people.
